Emergent Opportunities for Data-Driven Electron Microscopy in Materials Science

A two-day workshop of invited talks, poster session, and discussions

Data-driven electron microscopy and spectroscopy hold great promise for future materials research due to the unprecedented large volumes and high-quality electron scattering datasets collected at sample positions at high resolution. Many aspects of materials structural and electronic properties, such as atomic arrangements, charge and magnetic spin, chemical ordering, lattice defects, and strain, are directly accessible to electron beam interrogation and active areas of research. The goal of this workshop is to bring together researchers working in the fields of instrument development, 4D STEM, data science, and modeling in order to identify emergent opportunities and forge collaborations in this future form of electron microscopy for materials research.

The invited speakers come from Universities, National Labs, Industry. Contributions are welcome for the poster session and interaction with speakers and students!

Come see our own Dr. Anahita Pakzad's presentation titled "Energy-Filtered Diffraction by Gatan: Taking Diffraction to the Next Level."
