Product Description

The Model 831 SC600 CCD camera is a 2672 x 2672 retractable CCD (7M pixels) camera designed to deliver high resolution and real-time speed for imaging applications in both life and materials science. The combination of HCR™ (high-contrast resolution) optical technology, 7 million pixel CCD sensor, and advanced CCD readout electronics (single/dual-port) has given the SC600 camera the best price-performance value.  The 14-bit dynamic range ensures image data precision for any imaging needs.  The temperature-regulated Peltier cooling technique not only minimizes but also stabilizes the CCD dark current.

The SC600 CCD camera is only offered for bottom mounting on a TEM of up to 200kV.  The bottom mount camera provides a high resolution view of the sample making it ideal for use in materials science imaging applications and life science applications such as small particles and viruses.  The exceptional anti-blooming performance makes SC600 an ideal camera for recording electron diffraction patterns.

The high frame rate (>14fps) of the SC600 offers the user a new capability: TEM in-situ observations.  SC600 can output high quality, LIVE images that are corrected for cosmetic defects or shading (dark and gain corrected).  Gatan's DigitalMicrograph^® software can generate a continuous digital streaming video (DSV) signal stream from any LIVE image window.  The digital video stream can then be recorded by using any third party video capture/editing software and saved in industry standard format (AVI and MPEG).
